Wink New Guy ... but not a Jeep owner (don't flame me plzz)

Hi all, I'm Derek from South Louisiana and obviously a Crown Vic fan, but a friend referred me to this place because he signed up here. I've always been a Jeep fan, anyways. I mean, not a die-hard jeep fan, but still a fan. When I was a lot younger I wanted to get a mid 90's Jeep Cherokee. I kinda drifted away from Jeeps soo.. I don't have one. I'm not new to forums either. I've been on forums since 2003, been on several different ones, bla bla bla..

Want to be a regular poster, but you probably won't spot me up in hardcore Jeep tech talk and stuff so, yeah.

crown vics are cool. your rear diskbrakes are used on some of our cherokees. don't worry. before long the jeep bug will bite you.. and you will buy one.

Yeah, I dunno. My buddy's got a 96 Cherokee. I like it personally but not my favorite in the world. (Plus I've got Ford in my blood) I was looking for a secondary vehicle to use, the N.O. streets are bad, and a jeep would be cool, but I can't afford one, and the Crown's not going anywhere.

Plus, the only Jeeps I really like are the Cherokees and the Grand Cherokees. It's a shame they quit making the Cherokee.

Nice, I've been on both ends of this, I own a jeep now, but used to drive around my parents Crown Vic. before I bought my first car. Also, my pops used to drive around an old caprice police interceptor, old cop cars are really really good cars.

Welcome by the way, haha.

You should drop the vic, get a Caprice/Impala and a Cherokee..

welcome to CF. Even if Cherokee's are not made any more they are still great to get. In fact that is one of the great reasons to get one. You can usually find one pretty cheep and they are relatively easy to mod.
