The New Guy
This is my first post and wanted to say Hello to everyone.
Just closed the deal tonight f(rom Iraq, US Navy) on my first Jeep, 2000 XJ Limited with 140,000 miles. Found it on craigslist, had a friend look and test drive it for me. The picture is the one from the listing more to come once I;m back in the states.
First the Bad: (if you can call it that)
-Small rip on side of driver seat (Leather)
-Small spot (size of palm of hand) on rear bumper, backed into something, just a paint scratche no dent and no rust.
-Assumed blown speakers (cracking), but came with the Infinity system.
Now the Good
-Was told the Paint and Interior job look brand new (except for bumper and small rip of course)
-All power options work, as does the 4wd, zero leaks, creaks, or any other noises for that matter.
-Zero rust anywhere on the Jeep (has been pampered it’s whole life)
-Last but not least, they have every maintenance record since purchase of the vehicle in 2000. Oh yeah the best of all it's ALL MINE!!!
I'm paying $4,500.00 cash for it and feel like I just got one of those rare deals. It’s going to be my DD but I already have a build sheet put together for it (just so it can reach some of its potential). I have wanted a Jeep for a long time, but always wanted a Wrangler. I currently have 350Z and wanted something as a DD with 4 doors. I have always seen the XJ but never really looked into it, I know my mistake but now that I have, I had to have one. So let me know what you think about what I told you, and I promise my other post won't be this long

These are the Plans I have for it.
Let me start off with, this was purchased to be a DD so I don't have to drive my 350Z all the time. I have only been a passenger when offroading. But I'm moving to Virginia Beach when I get back from Iraq. So there is know telling what is in the future. Any way this what I plan to do for now.
RE 3.5" Super Ride LIft
RE 3/4" front coil spacers
OME Shocks
RE SYE
2003-2006 Rubicon Wheels
245/75R16 BFG AT T/A Tires
This what the plans are for now, by the way thanks to eveyone on the Forum for providing great information and pictures to help me decide on what to buy.
