Default New guy

Greetings ! I'm new here, and just acquired a 1994 Jeep Cherokee from a friend.
I know zero about Jeeps, except the kind we had in the military during the Korean war !

My "new" Jeep needs some help ( what 20-year old vehicle doesn't ), but I'm already into it. It hasn't been driven much in recent years, since it was at the friends cottage as an extra vehicle. It has 155 K miles on it, just broken in

Regards to all...

Bill

Thanks for the welcomes !
I just came back from the shop ( aircraft shop ) where I changed the oil and lubed the chassis etc. It needed both. I see that there is a line missing, like from the top of the valve/rocker cover, that goes to the air cleaner. Have to find one.
I have no service info on it yet, but according to the dip stick, it takes 6 quarts to fill the sump & filter....is that correct ?
Other items : it has some play in the steering that I need to address. Haven't checked where the monkey-motion is yet. Maybe a bit in the steering box plus tie rod ends etc, of may be the intermediate shaft (?)
Rear end area has noise, like maybe wheel bearings...
And the friend I got it from had cobbled an exhaust leak behind the converter, so I wont run out of things to work on for a while
