just got my 99 cherokee classic last wednesday 12/30... checked out the vehicle a couple weeks before buying it but because of schedules and working wasnt about to do another thorough look over the vehicle before buying it. got it for $6000 with 80,000miles on it. and yessss just 80,000 miles. ive got 31s on it that i may be changing to black rims a 2" lift a k&n filter and a sun visor. not much of a car person but my boyfriend loves it so he's been helping me a lot.
vehicles really a daily driver- gets me from work to school. hopefully when everything fixed and ive chipped away a bit more at my loan ill take it wheeling but nothing too extreme. had a camry before and thankfully got the jeep just in time for 2 huge snow storms last weekend, had lots of fun learning how to use the 4wheel drive.
however now that i have the vehicle and ive had some time to beg my man to take it apart. after going over everything we've found that
i have a bent rim, leaking antifreeze, has a rusted heater core line (as well as many other rusted pieces), oil leak from the crank seal, oil pans leaking in a few spots, and could be ready for some shocks soon. sOooo nothing major that we know of yet anyways....
today we put in a new radiator, thermostat, heater core line, and water pump to try and fix my kee from running so hot. as of 12:50am we still dont know if it actually helped.
