New to cherokee forum from MD...
Hi all,
My name is Ben I live in Frederick, MD. First let me start off by saying this seems like a great forum for getting advice on anything about cherokee's that is why I signed up today.
I have had my 89 xj 2 door with 295,000 miles for a year now, I got it for a 150 bucks so its nothing special (rust holes in floor boards and body) and thought I would try to be active on cherokeeforum and start a build thread. I am aiming to build a durable trail rig in the cheapest way possible.
When I bought it the 4x4 was not working but I just fixed the vacum lines and that did the trick. So far It is pretty much stock, execpt the CB, farm jack, offroad roof lights, and I spray painted it olivedrab green and bondo'd the bodyrust, and repainted the bumpers and grill black. My future plans for the lift include rear s10 leafs, front 4.5 coils, tcase drop, brake lines, and control arms. Then tires! then hopefully more mods from there.
I am looking foward to making more posts and recieving advice from people who know what they are talking about.
Thanks
