New to Cherokee Forum
New member to the forum from Boise, ID. Name is Matt, I've had my 99 WJ since last July, I bought it to be just a toy, however it's since turned into my daily driver when my GMC broke down. I work at an Off Road Shop, so the build of my Jeep is centered around more of a budget build and focused on those who build their Jeeps over time rather than drop a huge amount of money at once.
As far as a personal introduction, I'm 24 years old, married with 2 kids, a one year old daughter and a 2 year old daughter. I have a technical degree from Universal Technical Institute for collision repair and refinishing. I worked in the auto body field for about 3 years until I found my true passion was building Jeeps, trucks, SUV's, etc. My release from reality has always been mountain roads and camping, which resulted in me finding my love for off roading. I've owned two Jeeps in my life time, an 88 XJ back in high school, and my current 99 WJ, but I've made my rounds with other companies more so. I really found my passion for Overlanding when I had my 98 Suburban. When my wife and I first met, we took several 2-3 day long trips through the mountains just exploring and camping out, so my WJ is going to be geared more so towards that.
As for my Jeep, it has some big plans in store. Planning on having a full length roof rack that may possibly come down attached to the front bumper, then down the sides attached to the rear bumper. Attached to the rack on the driver's side, I'm going to install an ARB canopy and a touring room for camping out. The rack I plan on having removable, something that can sit in a garage when we're not out wheeling. All in all this will all be done over time, as of right now I'm focusing on getting suspension dialed in and going through everything to make it reliable.
As for what's been done, my first post I recapped the build so far into a build thread here.

Welcome, From Colorado. I like exploring the hills too! Working on my XJ has gives me a great outlet. Look forward to seeing some wheeling pictures.
