Welcome to the forum. Xjs and mjs are awsome trucks/SUVs. Chances are; however, your going to get hooked and end up wanting to do a lot of modifications to your jeep and you will find yourself spending a lot of time and money, but it will all be worth it! These trucks are relatively easy to work on and fun to take off road. Oh yeah, and when (or if) you go to resell your xj/mj you will not get out of it all the money and hours you put in to it, just to warn you. But again welcome and have fun!

And they run forever as long as they're maintained so don't be afraid of 200k+ miles.

Welcome to the site. The 4.0 is a great motor I've had about 4 Jeeps with that motor with over 250,000 and still going. You can't kill that straight 6.

I have an 04 grand right now with 122,000 on the 4.0 Just broken in.

They're rugged vehicles and last a long time when properly maintained. Rust is a problem though, and should be avoided when looking at buying one.
