Need XJ Mechanic near ft lauderdale FL
Hello everyone,
I have been reading for a long time, and most thankful for all the things I learned, I am in Central NY, and travel on I-81 from Syracuse to Binghamton often. I am a Jeep enthusiast, love the XJs however, I got a situation I need help with: My daughter overheated her 2001 XJ and needs a goood, competent and honest mechanic knowledgable about XJ and the 0331 head problems to fix her car. If you have someone you can recommend please do, thanks in advance Komuso |
welcome to the forum and the family.
Unfortunately the 00s and 01 XJs had the crappy head on them. They do make good aftermarket replacement ones. There are a few threads on here that deal with it. Here's one that you can throw and eyeball on to get an idea of what may be a good replacement head for yours. You may be looking at a full rebuild depending on the extent of the issue. If your oil is full on "milkshake" the news isn't great. But tons of parts available for XJs still make it a viable option to rebuild. Or even find one already rebuilt and drop it in without it costing an arm and both legs. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/00-...erview-118922/ |
thank you
