My first vehicle that isn't a lowered Volkswagen
Hey everyone, I'm Josh from Pa. Like it says above, this is my first Jeep after 7 Volkswagens, 6 of which have been fairly low. I have still have four of them, but traded my old daily Jetta for this about a year ago, and have mostly been driving it since. It's a 5 speed 96' Sport with a 4.0. I've learned a lot, but still have tons to learn. It was already lifted when I bought it with Rough Country suspension, 31's on Mickey Thompson wheels, ugly rear bumper, and the Bushwhacker flares. I've done a lot of work to it since I've got it, but I still have a lot more on the agenda including new bumpers, which are in the planning/construction phase, 97+ front end, full respray in a non oem grey color, and some suspension/steering stuff once I figure which way I want to go.
Some stuff I've done:
-Cleaned inside and out like crazy
-New...well every single part involving the clutch
-Patched some holes in the floors and undercoated.
-Added carpet and center console
-Added fog lights
-Made all red tails
-Ball joints and brakes
-Added a rear wiper (factory no wiper or defrosters)
And tons of small things not really worth mentioning.
Here's a couple pictures I took behind my grandparents house.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I'm from york, and I'm in town a few days a week for work, so I pass through Columbia often.
I've not had an aircooled yet, but I definitely would like to pick one up some day. My oldest is my 83 GTI.

Welcome, I'm in York too! Looks like a good start--I had those same wheels on my old Ranger. They were pretty great but brake dust does a number on them and the center caps like to rust.
Whereabouts in York are you located?

I don't have too much trouble keeping them clean, but the center caps definitely do like to rust. I grew up outside of Wrightsville, but lived in Dallastown for a few years before moving up hear to no mans land recently (and temporarily). I work out in West York still at my buddy's body shop, so I just stay at my parents a few nights a week to avoid a three hour commute every day.

Right on. Currently it resides as the shop with no name. We moved to a bigger shop and haven't officially named it yet.
