My favorite vehicle that my mother owned while i was growing up was a 1986 cherokee sport 2 door. I was said when she sold it and I've wanted a cherokee ever since. Well I finally bought one last night. I originally started searching for an xj as i love the classic look but every one i saw here in the chicago area had major rust problems. I was starting to lose hope when I saw an ad on craigslist for a 1995 grand cherokee limited. It looked great in the pictures but so did the others. It was 50 miles away and after being disappointed so many times I almost didn't make the drive. Well I'm glad I did and i'm glad i dragged the wife along. What we found when we got to the sellers house was an immaculate 1995 grand cherokee limited with 150,000 original miles on an i6 and a strong awd transmission. It had zero rust anywhere on the body. under carriage looked great too. Interior was super clean, leather in great shape. The owner just installed a brand new set of uniroyal laredo cross country tires and a new battery along with a tune up. Book value was 3,100, he was asking 2,000 and I got it for 1,700. Even my wife who has been very skeptical of my quest for a nearly 20 year old truck said she would not have let me left without buying this vehicle. It made the 50 mile trip home without a problem. it's a great running, beautiful truck and I thanked the heavens all the way home. It's not 100 percent perfect, but it only needs very minor things like new hydraulic arms for the rear gate and the antenna motor needs work but all i can say is i'm in love and I can't wait to have some fun with my new jeep.
