Thumbs up Miss Michijeep

This is my jeep. Sarge aka Jeepo

My name is Aubree and I'm a Michigan jeeper. My xj is essentially 100% stock. I haven't done much to it other than paint but I do have plans for it. A 3inch lift, gonna start small, stinger probably too, then maybe have it be a silver lake toy. I am fresh into the jeep world but I'm not totally ignorant either. I have interest in working on my jeep myself so I'm learning. I'm gonna have silly questions sometimes or ask for solutions to simple seeming problems. But I'm here to have a good time.

Happy two trails and keep it jeep!

I also really like puns...

Great looking XJ! Take her out wheeling stock before you upgrade, you'll be amazed how capable they are in even stock trim.

And welcome from Texas!

Don't sweat silly questions, LOTS of very helpful people on here.

I was thinking about taking it out on some trails this weekend. Probably after I get the brakes checked out and possibly replaced

You guys seem like a great bunch already. This is the most love I've ever received from a jeep forum and I've only been here like two days lol

Welcome. Don't forget maintenance goes long way. So make sure you have that taken care of before you jump into modifications.

I feel so bad for my jeep sometimes cause there's just so much rust. I wanna replace all the parts with new shiny parts. I'll definately make sure to do better with my next jeep.

Any good rust prevention tips?

I would just use bed liner spray I think it comes in a can and a spray.

And welcome from California

Guess who got a bath today.

Got a few people from everywhere it seems, not that it's a bad thing haha. Thanks for all the warm welcomes!

When my jeep is clean it can leave me speechless.

Welcome, from a fellow Michigander! I see some rust, but honestly doesn't look too bad! Good platform to learn from! I've gained all my knowledge from this forum, and just tackling jobs. Good luck! We're all here to help!

I ended up replacing the drivers side door last year cause it had a rust hole in the bottom of the door. My only concern now is where to post the: how do I fix these problems questions But I'll figure it out. The only real problem is finding the time to work on it. Two jobs puts a monkey wrench into jeep maintenance time

Welcome to the forum. Those two jobs can help with your Jeep parts and repairs. Salt and snow are a rough combo on vehicles in Michigan. I would tackle the body rust and underbody first, before doing the lift. "Winter is coming."

Gotta make that $$$$. I also lack the workspace to put time into said jeep (I'll bring a case of beer if any of you let me borrow your garage ahaha) But yeah, I love Michigan too much to leave it just because of the salty winter roads. Honestly though I tried looking at my brakes a couple nights ago cause they've been squeaking pretty bad and if I were to take care of the underbody rust I would just have to buy a new jeep. Its honestly the worst thing.

Wish I could go back to past me and be like dude listen, you may not care now cause you aren't really a car person and this is your first vehicle, but check for rust. But then again if I went back I wouldn't have the grumpy Sarge that I do now

Also gonna add that drum brakes look complicated and annoying af. Looks like I'm in for a real treat here soon
