Might be a buyer
My neighbor is selling her 93 Cherokee and told me I could have it for $500, new engine 6 months ago.
I am looking to buy something to heavily mod for off road purposes and will NOT be my DD. Only time it will see the road is to get to trails. Any suggestions here I was originally looking to do a Wrangler but At this price don't think I can go wrong. |
With a new engine, sounds good to me... Just check all the appropriate items (transfer case, tranny, rust etc.) and make sure they are in good shape and you should be fine.

Welcome to CF from Dan in Tenn..
With a new engine, for that price you almost can't go wrong. Check for electrical issues. You can do all the necessary mods that you want and still not have a lot tied up in it. JMO :cheers: |
Yeah I would def jump on that. New motor $500.00 most def.

I am also looking to purchase either a 2000 or 2001 Jeep Cherokee 4WD, 4Door. I need the car for commute use for about 3 years then I want to turn it into an off road. What is good mileage for these years? I am seeing a ton for over 100K, is that too high for these engines? Hoe much does a new transmission roughly cost (AUTOMATIC)? Any advice?
Thanks, Amanda |
