Howdy all Mich xj jeeper here just wantin some new friends and to learn a thing or two. This is my first XJ and i'm lovin it, we've already been through getting stuck in a mud pit, and drowning the alternator and having my poor jeep stolen from in front of my house only 3 months after getting it. Lucky they found it in mexican town about 12 hours later.
I'm looking foreward to many more adventures and making my XJ even better on the trail.

Welcome, from Wisconsin. I month after I got mine. A huge Oak tree fell in front me, while driving approx. 25 mph. It was in a driving rain storm. At about dusk, I heard the tree snap. and saw it falling out of the corner of my eye. It fell about 15 ft. in front of me. I hit the skids, everything loose in the back of the jeep hit me in the back head. I skidded into the tree, pushing it about 10 ft. When we stopped the front end of my jeep was up on top of the tree trunk. (Which was about 30" round) The tree was covering from sidewalk, to sidewalk across the street. The only damage I received was a branch, about the size of my wrist went through both sidewalls of the left front tire. Some scraps on the front diff. cover. And some lumps on the back of my head. The city charged $750 to the tree owners, to cut it up, and remove. After changing the flat, I did ran home to get my camera. Yes, I have pics of it. Man, 10 second difference, and it could of killed me!
