Made it back to GA!
Been lurking on this forum for a week or two now and I really like what I see. Way too many people here fabricating some awesome things for their Cherokees; wish I had those skills!
In high school my first car was a '91 Cherokee LE 4x4. Loved the car but eventually moved onto other things (it's since gone to crap sitting in parents yard because it no longer passed emissions; yes I live in one of "those" counties.) Cherokee's were still easily my favorite SUV.
Well about 6 months ago I moved to Utah and decided I needed to lose the sedan (1990 Dodge Spirit Turbo, 55k on the clock...) and pick up a vehicle that was more "me" and could handle the adverse weather conditions. I've since moved back to GA and had to have it shipped because I just wasn't ready let it go. Looking forward to doing a full tune-up on this thing when I get back from a little weekend vacation this weekend.
Without further adieu, I present my 1987 Cherokee 4x4.
And a few extras I had on my phone.
See you in GA!
Oh and please ignore that god-forsaken AutoZone shift ****. I replaced with a nice round wooden ball since.
In the mean time, what do you veterans suggest I check/replace first on a car this old? I want to keep it up and running for as long as possible and I'm a big believer in preventative maintenance. Right now it runs like a top and the 4WD has no problems engaging and driving. Though it does take about 5 - 6 seconds of turning the key to crank in the morning.
Good to be here!
