lug nut and aluminum rims-bonding can not get lug nuts off

Hi, I have a 1998 grand cherokee . I cannot get all the lug nuts lossened to change the tire,I was using the lug wrench as well as the power wrench . I ended up stripping on lug nut and am now stuck. Any ideas on how to prevent this from happening again?

After you get them off a good anti seize would be a great start

Sounds like someone over torqued them.
