Looking for a Jeep

I think I posted in the wrong section before. Anyway...

Hi all,

I hope this is in the right section.

I am new to this forum and I am from Long Island New York. I am a surf fisherman and hunter and I am looking to buy a Jeep Cherokee for the beach and woods. There are many for sale, but being a non-mechanic I am not sure what to look for. There seems to be a huge variance in price and I don't know why from the adds.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for tips to find a good rig. I am looking or a 2000 or a 2001.

I think you had it right the first time, you just need a little patience as most people have jobs and will get back to you in a little while.
