Looking for advice

Hi, I'm new here, but not to Jeeps or AMC products. I've decided to buy a Cherokee Sport.I had one years back but it was part of a trade and the other party backed out so I had to give it back. I was getting the Cherokee (I think it was a 96) in partial trade for a restored 1966 Rambler Classic 770. Well anyway, this time I'm doing a little research before buying. I'm thinking a 91-96 4.0paired with an auto trans. I like the interior better, and my other car has a 5 speed and I'd like to take a break from shifting. Opinions? Thanks in advance for chiming in. -Rob

Try to find one with the 8.25 rear axle if you plan on getting bigger tires or using it offroading.

Thanks. Unfortunately that wont be so easy. I'm in Mexico and just finding one in good shape is a challenge. However, how would I know? It there a tag on the diff? Thanks.

Thanks, You've made it simple. Was this a special order item from the factory or was it included in a certain package? (Curious) :cowboy:
