Howdy everybody -

This is my second 99 XJ. Had a 2WD I bought back in 2000 and really enjoyed it, but always thought not having 4WD it was hard to be proud of it as a Jeep. Kept that thing until 2009 (it had a few years off as I was overseas) and immediately regretted not having an XJ in my life.

Bought a Black 99 Limited 4x4 last year from Craigslist. It just turned 208k on the odometer and the thing doesn't leak a drip of fluid. From anywhere. It's crazy!

First thing I realized was I needed to get the suspension done - passenger side leaf springs were inverted and drivers side were completely flat and almost turned down.

Went to 4WheelParts and had the OME kit installed. Nice ride, but the thing looks like a dragster. The leaf spring packs need to calm down I'm told. Rear site about 2.5 inches taller than the front.

I have gone a little nuts with window stickers, but it's all in good fun. Plenty of ideas left to do on this little monster of mine (front and rear bumpers, bigger tires and different wheels, etc) but I just love having an XJ back.

Just wanted to drop a note to say hello and to thank everybody that posts up their builds and ideas here. It gives me great ideas and aspirations on what to do with mine.
