I'm back!
Hey all... Some of you may remember me from my Project Cherokeer, an '89 Wagoneer/'96 Cherokee hybrid project. That XJ was sold quite a while ago, and I've gone through several 4WD trucks since then, including a '99 S10, '03 Dakota, and my current '04 Avalanche. Never could get these XJ's out of my blood, though, so today I brought home XJ #4 (#5 if you count the parts Wagoneer). This one is a bog-stock '99 4-door automatic that I got for $500. It is quite basic, having power locks and air, but not much else. It does have a track-lock 8.25" rear out back though. It's not running (thinking CPS), and needs rockers, but it's a good base for a project.
What that project will be is in the air right now. I've been wanting to do an LS swap into an XJ for a while now, so I might go that route, or I might just fix up the body and drive it stock (yeah, right). Whatever I decide I'm sure I'll entertain you all with plenty of stupid questions...

Quick update: After having it sit in the driveway for almost two months I finally got a chance to work on it. Got it running, anyway - it was the CPS, just as I suspected...
Checked it over, and it only needs front pads & rotors and new rocker panels. Not bad for a cheap Jeep...
