I forgot to do an intro...
GC in MN with a 99 WJ 4.7 qt2. It was purchased with a few mods...mostly just a matte black grille and if there is any lift it ain't much. I need it as a dd with the option of trails (no crawling) with good snow/ice and maaaayyyybe a lil mud.
My wife and I like it enough that we traded in my old Focus and got her a 2001 4.0 with a 242. Both are mostly stock but hers has less broken stuff on it as the air and heat both work and all the power windows, unlike mine.
We've had mine for a year and a half. I replaced the alternator due to popping the diodes (bad batter connection), paid to have the rear brakes done last spring, and I just did the front brakes myself this weekend. Next weekend I am fixing the power window on my front passenger side. Next up for mine after is to tear into the dash and do the evap and heater cores, next for hers is ball joints to fix the clunk she has. Anything after that for either of us is just cosmetic or trail mods.
I am no gear head or garage monkey and at 43 I'm a little late, but I'm making an effort to learn. I hope that's what counts 'cuz it's all I got so far! Well, no.. I got a body builder/grease monkey little brother and if I need help he's usually on it with a blowtorch. I gotta get me one of those.
