Hi from SF Bay Area, CA
Hi, I found this forum last week, and just now found the intro section....Sorry, Mods!
I have an '89 Base Model XJ, with factory alloys to replace the slotted silver steelies. 4WD, 4.0L, 5-spd, 189,000 mi on the clock. When I got it, it had an exploded pressure tank and a few other issues from PO...Last year I had the cooling system redone, changed over to open cooling system
( I'm old-school...I like to add coolant TO THE RADIATOR)
A couple of weeks ago, I put on a HEAVY steel rear bumper.
This weekend I'm going J/Y diving to see what I can find...I'm looking for tow hook brackets so I can mount up a brushguard from a j/y Comanche. I'll post photos when it's on. Bumpers & guards are mostly for protection from the LOUSY drivers where I live....(My XJ is a DD)...and for looks..(Gotta keep up with the blinged-out Hummer grocery-getters around here)
I plan on trail boppin' after I get some of the essentials taken care of (like tow hooks!)...I refuse to go out UNPREPARED.
Happy Jeepin' !

Glad you finally found the intro section Cheap. Welcome to CF (finally) from deep South Texas. You already know how the forum works and if you have Cherokee questions just post them in the Chat section. Glad to have you be part of CF.

Thanks, Blue
This is the first forum I've ever joined, so I apologize for any gaffes...
I'm pretty sure I've got it figured out now.
