Default Hey Folks

New here. Just bought a '96 XJ from the Nat'l. Forest Service in WA. and drove it home to Louisville, KY the week after Thanksgiving. It's a 2dr, 4.0, 5 speed and is supposed to have posi. but I haven't jacked the back up yet to find out.

I was looking for a vehicle that would do many things so I could replace a car and pick up. Something unique, but still common enough to be serviceable and last for many years with care. A successor to my IH Scout that I sold in the early 2000s.

So far so good, and I'd recommend one of these Forest Service vehicles. It's in better shape than I thought it'd be and the price was nice. I kinda like the green!

BTW, looking for a set of Gambler TJ wheels within a few hours of Louisville.

Every year, here in northern Wisconsin. On the opening week end of trout fishing. I run into ai least one fellow, who can't find where they left their truck. (kinda funny actually) Everyone of them was green. So if you drive a green truck (especially camouflage) in the woods, Or a white truck out on a frozen lake. If you get out, and leave them. There really hard to find again! But anyways. Welcome, from Wisconsin!

I think this color of green could only be lost in an authentic '50s era ranch house kitchen or bathroom!

That is a wild green, more like turquoize. I once bought a '72 GMC that was primer gray, under the primer it was that color, GM called it "medium green". I painted the truck black.

But you know, it is unique, doesn't look bad on a 2door like that, if you like it stick with it.
