Hello from Scotland

New to Jeeps, having owned a fair share of old battered Land Rovers.
Been after an XJ for years, don't know why. But I really wanted a red one... So I ended up with a Silver 60th anniversary XJ for a good price. Trim I wanted and has the 'lovely' VM 2.5 Diesel. Manual with a tru-loc on the rear. Bit of a budget build, has a 2" lift and some 32" tyres and that's about it - more stuff in the post! I've seen lots of excellent threads here - lots of inspiration! Attachment 311109 Attachment 311110 Chris |

Welcome to the forum. Nice jeep. Got a picture of the engine?
|
Cheers for the comments.
In regards to the engine it is dark here now, I shall get some soon - they are a bit of a rush install. I plan on tidying it up quite a bit myself. |
Welcome, Nice Cherocar you got there.

Welcome along from further south, down in southend on sea.

Complete XJ's can be brought here for about £500 as MOT fails - then engine is not without its issues, cooling system has to be kept in top condition or it cooks the engine very quickly. And annoyingly it requires an ECU. I am toying with the idea of putting a VM into an 4 pot YJ - how hard can it be....

What's a 4 pot? |
About 1.5 - so $750
4 pot - Must be a British thing (I apologise in advance there may be a few of them) by this I mean Four Cylinder. |
