Hello from San Diego
Hi I just decided about 2 months ago that I want an XJ. I need a new daily driver and have a budget of about $10000 for the Jeep and add ons. Thought I would put out the word on here that I'm looking in SoCal and if anyone knows of a nice one please let me know. I just finished my last project and I'm excited to get onto the next one.
Looking for a 2 door 5 speed with a 6 cylinder if possible but if a clean one comes along at a good price then I'm open to any. Any big things I should be looking for when I go look at one? I have only read through build threads on here so far so I don't know about the quirks yet.
Anyone else from San Diego? Now that I'm looking I see a few around here. I have had many cars and trucks over the years but I have never owned a jeep(my last build was a relative though). I'm excited. Thanks for any help you can give.

You can also try the palm springs desert area. Always see jeeps for sale out there. I actually got my YJ from SD/Temecula area on a trade. Thinking about doing the same with my Zj. I have had good luck out that way.

Anyone know this truck or have thoughts on it?

Here is a pic of my last project. I love it but I can't bring myself to drive it to school and I would like to be able to haul 4 people around hence the XJ search.

Im just curious, so its had a blown engine? Is this why its been rebuilt? What about the tranny? How many miles on that? My thoughts would be, why the rebuild enginge on such a newer jeep, I have a 91 yj and 97 zj both original miles and jeeps run forever! Next, wouldnt the tranny be of some concern being that u have this nice strong engine and a older weaker trans.? Its at some sort of engine rebuild shop i assume, so u will prolly never get full true story, its a nice looking jeep, just be careful, my ex husband bought 2 with rebuilts and nothing but problems

It was a 2 door manuel with 40k miles! It was perfect and that price is what it sold for at auction. Clean low mile examples that have zero mods are bringing about $10k. I just wish I could find one in SoCal.
