Hello from pa

Hi from hershey pa. Just moved here from the ms coast with my wife. Had a old 91 back in the day that I kept stock and sold it. After moving I sold my tacoma and bought a 01 4dr sport with 180k miles lifted and looks almost mint. Looking for some info and what not to keep it up.

Bought it in Dover, you might have seen it before. Don't know much about lift kits but it seems to have been done right. Stuck a new fan belt on it along with some new 31x10.5x15 tires and a new alignment. Gotta do the tranny fluid next.

Welcome! Nice XJ. Love that black interior. Buddy of mine has a 2000 with all black interior..I'm pretty jealous of it. I'm from York, PA. I'll be in Hershey on Friday for the Rush show!

Thanks, I like it! I was looking for a green/tan or plum crazy but ran across this one for cheap so I couldn't pass it up! Know of any reputable places locally to do a complete tranny oil change? Drop pan change filters clean magnets ect?

Nope, no mechanics in PA are Cherokee certified. You're all on your own. start building your tool collection!

That's my plan, right now being in a townhouse is the problem, worse than a HOA ran by the nazi regime. I have tons of tools in storage and had a farm before moving. The other problem is 2 ruptured discs in c5-6 so working on my back is out until fixed. Think I will be gtg with just tranny fluid change every 10k till I am fixed up, or is that too much or little? I have heard not to do fluid exchanges on the 4 speed so that's another question.

Every 10,000 I think is a bit overkill. Not sure what the recommended maintenance interval is, should say in Owner's manual...and it's okay as long as you just drain it, and refill it with some Dexron 3, run it for a little while, drain and refill it again.

I believe factory recommendations was every fifty thousand miles. I'm not 100 percent sure, though

Yeah 50k according to manual and chiltons, main reason was the mileage that's on the tranny and just wanted to clean it out. I will drain and run it a few k and drain again. Maybe once my neck is fixed up I can drop the pan and change the filters and all. Thanks guys!
