Hello, from Kansas
Hi there,
I have recently traded in my nice and shiney 2wd pickup for a 1993 Jeep Cherokee Country that is in desperate need of a paint job (clear coat is coming right off). It is also in need of some TLC here and there, but it's powertrain is in great condition.
Just a quick intro on myself. I am a 25 year old guy who enjoys riding his motorcycle, and lives for fishing. I also enjoy shooting firearms, but that hobby tends to get a touch expensive at times. I enjoyed my pickup, but got the itch to get my hands on a 4wd vehicle after getting stuck in areas I figured the truck would have no problems; after a quick look around, I realized I could afford a Cherokee, and that's all she wrote. I grew up with my father owning a XJ, so things like that tend to stick with you when it comes to looking for a new vehicle.
I haven't decided whether or not I am going to mildly lift the XJ or not, but my goal is that this XJ will be my DD, and only see mild off roading. Think "sportsman edition" meets camel trophy vehicle, and that is what my goal for the XJ is.
I will try to get some pictures uploaded to show you guys what I am starting with, and hopefully show you how things progress.
Sorry for the long-winded intro, but I plan to be around this forum for quite some time, and have been lurking for a long time now.
