Hello from Germany
Hello from Germany everyone. While I've owned Jeeps in the past, it's been a while since I've wheeled or even owned a 4X4. Now I've purchased another Cherokee and want to start building it up as my budget allows. Prices here and mail restrictions are challenging. While I get the basics out of the way, such as a complete tune-up and fluid changes, there are problems I'll be researching answers to in this forum. The first is the drivers side power seat doesn't work when the passenger side and all power doors and windows function properly. My "new" Jeep is a 1992 neglected and filty beast needing lots of TLC.

I've been stationed all over Germany before I retired, but now I'm with the Army as a civilian in Heidelberg. I'll be moving to Stuttgart this fall though.

First thing I would secure a set of manuals for your Cherokee and then look at the wiring for that seat. They have several small electric motors which power the seat into differing directions. The switches are usually the thing that goes bad. Make sure that nothing was jambed up under there that could have put the motors in a bind and blown a fuse.
Welcome to CF. If you have tech questions please post them in the Cherokee Chat section where they will get better exposure and thus more replies.
