I'm Haley, just bought my first jeep. It's a 1979 Cherokee Chief with a 1976 engine.
Started off good, then it started dying, put new fuel filters on and it ran good , then started dying again, only this time would only drive a few feet, then die again. It started right back up but would die.
now it won't switch into gear while driving. It will move but only revs up, won't goe into next gear. It's an automatic transmission. Checked fluids they are good, what type of fluid goes into transfer case?, any help would be appreciated.

It looks better shined up. Since it is yellow, how about "OL Yeller". Title of a Disney program in the 60s, which also had the FSJs. It was Moms daily driver
