Hey everyone! I have been a Jeep enthusiast for quite a few years now (first XJ was a '91 I bought in '92) and have really enjoyed all of mine. Right now we have a YJ with a late model XJ drivetrain and 3 '97-01 XJ's that I am building into 1 nice winter business vehicle that I can travel up North regularly in bad weather. I had owned Bronco II's (still have one) and old J10 trucks before I bought an XJ, but the reason I looked for one in '92 was a true showing of strength I witnessed in an accident one day. A dump truck full of gravel had tried to go around an XJ that was trying to turn left on a 2 lane road. The load was unstable and the truck tipped over onto the XJ, pouring gravel all over it and resting on the right rear corner/side of the Jeep. Tires on the Jeep were completely flat and roof/sides had given in a bit, but the thing was holding that truck up. That sold me, then and there on the strength of these things. We have since had Grands and TJ's, but I keep coming back to this classic design! Glad to be here!

Thanks guys!
I do love my Jeeps, LOL. Over the years, Ive had 12 XJ's, 3 YJ's, 2 TJ's, 6 ZJ's, 1 CJ, 1 Commanche, and 1 J10 truck. While I've dabbled with other makes of 4X4 vehicles, I'll have to say that Jeeps (XJ models in particular) make me smile the most (My Bronco II is a close 2nd, though)!
In my opinion, the 4.0 engine is one of the best engines ever made. I've had these with 400K+ miles that still ran well. I highly doubt that there are many other SUV engines out there that can go the miles and still have the power and personality that these exhibit.
