I just bought my first XJ after owning CJ's my entire adult life. Still have a 86 CJ but put a 93 HO 4.0 in it. I pick the Cherokee up tomorrow it is the 2000 Freedom model.
160K miles and clean as heck, garaged for its first ten years. Interior is like new they had seat covers on the seats since day one. I got a binder with all of the records. Being a Bay Area car it has never seen salt. I bought it from the original owner. He used the 4WD twice in Tahoe in the snow. Like me he has a CJ7 so that got the abuse. The Cruise control and vents did not work, I got the fix right here before I bought the car and it was repaired in minutes. THANKS!
I got a great deal at 2K and smogging it was easy a definite concern here in CA. I was looking for a JK a few months back and couldn't find one I would subject my neighbors to. I ended up with a super clean 94 Explorer Sport,. I am selling that now.
Another survivor, 135K and a stick. fun to drive as long as you arent in stop and go traffic. Alas it wasnt a Jeep................
