Greetings fellow XJs! New to the site...
Hi all! I recently found a pearl and I'm very excited to be a new Jeep owner. This is my first Jeep of any kind and just so happens to be a dream car from my youth. 26 years old, one owner, garage kept.
She's completely unmolested and certainly pristine, but needs attention to some of the basics so I can keep her that way.
Any guidance is appreciated as I'm new to the forum thing.
Cheers!

- I know the front brakes need to be done: rotors and pads. Hoping the calipers are fine. I found some great info already on the site.
- I definitely need a new headliner. Driver's side has fallen loose substantially, most likely from the previous owner driving with the windows down on that side.
- Air blows REAL cold, but the blower won't push the air. Had Tires Plus do a quick run-though and they determined that the air speed switch is bad and that possibly the blower needs replaced as well, although I have my doubts. Could just be the faulty switch. I DO know that when sitting in park while the engine is still running and AC is on, she starts to choke after 7-10 minutes.Nearly stalled the other day.
- Every start of the ignition has a bit of hesitation, but she always starts. Need to figure out how to make it more accurate. Perhaps a vacuum issue?
- On-board computer and compass not functioning.
- Washer fluid not dispensing. Need to check hoses and pump.
Any guidance is appreciated as I'm new to the forum thing.
Cheers!
- Captain

I am no expert at all but my opinion is that the first thing you should do is put some nice wheels on there, not necessarily lifted, mine isnt, but big wheels!
BTW Congrats, I was very excited to get mine as well, yours is in good shape too.

New shoes are definitely in my near future. Found out the other day that the current ones are nearly 12 years old. (garage kept)
I plan to go a touch more aggressive with raised white lettering.

Real nice truck, finding one that was garage kept is the key. The rubber and plastic are not eaten alive by the sun over 20+ years.
