Hello!
My name is Casey, I own a well broke-in 1987 Cherokee 2 door.
She's really rusty, very rough around the edges, is missing lots of stuff, and doesn't look pretty. But she starts every time I want her to, and out of the stuff thats not missing has some nice hardware. For example the D44 rear with ARB airlockers, re-geared to 4.11s. Still the D30 up front, but has gears to match. The 3" lift is nice as well, and clears decent tires.
I mainly bought it as a winter beater for this year, and I got extra rims that fit both the XJ and the 98 TJ. I didn't pay much, less than $1000, so it was a great deal for me. Eventually, whenever the Cherokee decides to breath its last breath, she'll donate her good parts to the TJ project and I'll move onto another Cherokee. Gotta keep something as a grocery getter.
Anyway, I'm really a DIY'er, so I figured I'd join up here and try to learn as much as possible while offering any help I can.
Oh, I'm also out of Milwaukee, WI, the drunkest city in the world. I go wheeling at a nice sweet spot real close, so if there are any members here from SE Wisconsin, shoot me a PM or an email!!
