Had ny 88 Xj for a couple years now, looking to do a few things to it before winter. Here is what im working with. 88 xj 4.0 litre inline 6... everything works perfect. Zero body damage...only need to replace my steering column. The color is a dark grey military stealth paint. So far I've only added a survive safari rack and replaced the old fog lamps with some hella 500s. Im going for a "safari look" im not really into really wide tires or cut fenders. Im looking into a rusty 3 inch add a leaf with either 31s or 32s. I want room to flex em. Bumper wise I love the arb but im not gonna drop a grand on the bumper....same with the rear
..love the tire and jerry can holders but im a college student...not rich at the moment. Id like a small winch bumper, preferably one that I could install in my drive way. Also I really like the old mutts and land rovers that have the cable running from the roof rack to the front of the vehicle, not sure of a purpose but I like em. Id like to go with a snorkel but install looks rough ... I have basic tools and would prefer to do most body mods myself...ill leave the lift to my local off road center, honestly I prolly wont be wheeling too much other than dry creek beds and snowy roads, tire, bumper, accessories suggestions would be great...thanks! Ill post pics as soon as I get some free time

 

Got some pics of some rides I like and have almost decides to go for the jcr off road pre runner bumper... anyone know where I can find a trailer hitch basket and jerry can mount like the one in this pic?? Also any suggestions on a hi lift mount for mg surco rack so I don't pay 80 bucks for the brackets they sell??
