Default First time cherokee owner!! But...I have a fuel leak.

Hey Guys,

Very exited as I just purchased my 1st jeep ever! I have a bit of a problem though. When I top off my tank w/ fuel, it leaks out a bit until I use about a gallon. Any body out there have any experiences like this?

Try putting a little less in check your caps fitting correctly when its really low and you take cap off are you getting a rushing air sound where the fuel fumes are expanding if not maybe caps not sealing

nope! it's actually leaking from underneath the jeep. no ruptures in the tank though. just when it "over-fills". Maybe a seal - I hope there are no probs w/ the pump.

Welcome from Tenn.! Check your roll-over valve. The grommet may have failed, or the hose could have came off.
