Default First Jeep. From Sask.

I just bought my first jeep. It is a 1990 jeep cherokee 4.0l 5-speed 4x4. I paid 900$ for it and it has brand new goodyear wranglers on it... I pretty much paid for the tires and got a truck lol. It has 288 000kms on it and it makes a ticking at idle. A bunch of stuff was replaced recently. What are some good things to check? when i shift it seems like it jumps in the rear, kinda like a slam from the rear. it has a new front driveshaft. Thanks, Kyle.

Welcome to CF. Check the condition of the shocks, axle u-bolts, and check for a broken leaf in one of the leaf springs. That could let the spring "wrap-up" lifting the rear of the vehicle when torque is applied. JMO
