Default First Jeep for me...

Its been a long time coming.... almost everyone I work with has one of these already and the bug finally bit me!

I'm really just learning all the ends and outs, so any help/insight is greatly appreciated!

'91 Laredo, I6, not to sure of the gearing and the tranny, but its an auto...
obviously needs some love on the paint, but the body has not a dent on it, yet...

175xxx on her, but runs like a top! so I figure she is just broken in lol, so far all the electrical works, only down side, from what I can tell it has the notorious bendix? abs issue... should be fun to fix that

Best part of all of it was I got her for $500 cash and drove her almost 100 miles home....needless to say the fun is just beginning!

All comments, ideas, help, and even some sarcastic remarks are welcome!

Default plans...

I'm not to sure about plans yet... ideas, there are plenty of those...
First things first, figure out/replace the brakes... going places isn't to fun if you can't stop! hah

so far, what I'm thinking is a mild(ish) lift, probably 4" at most, 31" on there, ....I got it mainly for a "family" car, but I'm thinking that wont last too long, after you get used to something, you always want more... at least I do.

Paint I'm thinking the darker charcoal grey color... and thats about it... so far.

If you plan on taking it out on trails or anything I'd get rid of the running boards, they'll just get hung up on stuff.

Default oh yea

aren't trails a necessity?
I was told that its a requirement to own a jeep, you have to hit the trails at least once a week?

any rec's on my brake issues?
I've done some searching and found some "quick fixes" and some full on swaps... any ideas which would be more worthwhile?

i mean if something is worth doing, its worth doing right.... but i've seen that some have just pulled the fuses and relays that run the abs and have been driving solid for years plus....?
