I hated my car and wanted to trade up for something different. I wanted something a little more capable so I started looking at suvs. The XJ made Kiplinger's list of 10 cars that refuse to die. After reading up some on this site I was sold.

Last weekend I purchased a green 1999 XJ with 122k.

I have already started working on it. Dizzy, plugs, wires, oil change. I even got the power windows, power locks, and DS door speaker working again (thanks to you guys).

Looking at a mild lift and new wheels and tires in the near future.

I'm glad so many of you have decided to share your knowledge on this site. These XJs refuse to die only because you refuse to let them. This is an awesome site and I'm glad I found it.
