Default First Jeep

Yesterday I bought my first Jeep, a '00 Cherokee Sport in Moss Green. The interior is immaculate and it has 141000 miles on it. Body isn't in real great shape but that doesn't bother me, it only means I can park closer to the store in a parking lot and don't have to wash it as often.

I plan on getting a roof rack with 360 degree lighting, an upgraded front bumper of some sort, a 2" lift, cheap wheels with slightly larger tires, and a cb radio. I have a baby on the way and am on a strict budget so any money saving ideas are welcome!

Congrats on your purchase, and the upcoming addition to your family.

I've been getting a lot of ideas from this site.

This weekend, I plan on installing my iPhone adapter (5 minutes but will be great), painting my wheels, scrubbing trim, and two big projects; a shallow two-drawer storage system for the cargo area. Something that my dogs can still stand on top of comfortably. I want to store fuel canisters, ammo, MREs, etc. in it and have it all accessible when the vehicle's loaded.

That and I'm thinking of a section or two of 6" or so PVC pipe mounted just behind the rear seat (longitudinally). A large filler cap on top and a spigot on the bottom. (maybe a hose from there to the back of the hatch area near the hatch for convenience. Extra water storage when camping. still gotta think about logistics and details but it would be great for camping.
