fill cooling system

does anyone know how to fill cooling system. I tried doing it through the reservor bottle, but coolant dont go down.

I filled mine through the radiator cap as much as it would take, put the cap on, made sure that the resevour had coolant in it, ran it for a while got it good and hot then let it cool down overnight, it will suck in coolant from the resevour while cooling down and allow any left over air out
