Yea you'll love a zj, expecially if the last jeep you had was a 86. My neighbors got a zj with a v-8 and rear disks. When I drive it I spin gravel everywhere and when I stop I throw everyone through the windshield. LOL Night and day between my 86 and here zj.

so... about engine size.. guys..

if i get a 2001-2006, what size engine do they come with ?
do they still have the same old inline 6 4.0 litre?
if so, that was a pretty good engine.

how is the gas mileage now adays ?
probably the same as it ever was i imagine.

thanks,
Kevin

-4.0L 6Cyl.
-4.7L V8
-4.7L HO V8

Mileage is comparable between each, so I'd suggest the 4.7L (Non-HO) as your best option.

The 4.0 in the WJ's do o.k. but, a few people complain of it not having quite enough power due to the WJ being heavier. I'm sure there will be a few 4.0 owners out there though that would endorse them. You'll just have to drive each and see which one suits.

4.0 will move ya ok but if ya got a trailer, you'll want a 4.7. HO's will get ya there sideways!
