BRANDNEWBIEN !
New to the site and to the Cherokee crowd. I was looking into getting into xj's , i wanted any helpfull info on years , models , and mostly one with the least mechanical problems such as the motor cause I ain't no mechanic but I can fabricate . Looking at options as far as aftermarket bolt ons and how far that extends on a Cherokee , meaning Hight , flex and all that good stuff . I do plan on running in the 36-39 range tire if that helps with any info giving . Much mahalo's

welcome to the site.
as for a year, i prefer the older renix models myself. (87-90).
but best years were any, really from 87-99.
84-86 were crappy v6's and 00-01 had the low pinion front axle, along with other not so great problems. some say 99 was the best year for the newer models. and 90 was the best for the renix.
if you're not in a hurry, just wait, the best one will come to you.
