Default Bought new in 86 still running with 2.8 all stock! Wa state newbe.

Got this unit in Jan 86, San Diego, over 500k used as daily driver, runs great. Have done lots of work on it over the last 32 or so years but mostly routine maint. Just finished replacement of all bushings, ball joints, bearing units, u joints (did this over 2 years). Engine made it to about 300k then I did a complete rebuild same block and heads. E2Se carb (Ca stuff) done 2010 by me. Also did 904 tranny and xfer unit in 2009. I have all records and build sheet plus window sticker. Call me **** or cheap lol. This was my present when I made CPO in the Navy that year. Got a very slight oil leak from aft pan gasket but if the 2.8 dont leak its cause theres no oil in it. They may bury me in it!

Welcome to the forum... and you've obviously been part of the jeep family for several moons... :P
Glad to see you've kept the ole girl rollin' this long. Just something about the old XJs that most of us get them and hold on to them.
