99 classic 3\" lift. 30" tires. For now.
Hello all, my name is tony. Had a 99 th sahara years ago. Had to trade it in for gas reasons. I drove 100 miles a day. About a year ago I was looking for something to restore\hotrod. Was looking for an old station wagon. Then I seen the ads for the 4.6 stroker. Decided a cherokee would work since i missed the tj. So now I have my station wagon and get to keep my 4x4 since we need it out here. Just need to sell my Ford screw(super crew). So after missing a few decent deals and passing on the rusty ones I told myself the next one i see for sale i am buying. One day I seen a nice 99 xj classic for sale. It has a 3 inch lift, arb bumper and winch, 30 inch tires, alpine stereo and all and sub. The guy wanted 4,900. Then 4,500, bought it at 4,300. Just a little rust on a rocker, solid body hardly no rust underneath. And a whole box of goodies. It is the chilli pepper metallic red. Once I learn to post pics I will use my phone to post some. I have already changed the electric fan, steering damper, and added napier hood vents. Got a new headliner with it, took it out tonight and installed some fat Matt insulation to the roof. Hope in a week or so to order a sye kit and driveshaft. Then I will move on to the differentials. Any way I married to my wife of a long time , something like 26 years. 2 kids and all that stuff. Love them all. We want to take a trip to Moab and red rocks next fall. Not planning on any major rock crawling just some bunny trails. Looking to get an off road pop up tent camper for the trip. We are in southern indian a we both work at a local casino. She has been a dealer for 20 years. I am a casino tech for 4 years. 26 years as a plumber before that and 8 years army before that. One of my other hobbies is building models. We both like camping and traveling by vehicle. Guess that's enough for now.
