98 Cherokee Limited

Hey guys, new to the forum. Just figured id post some of pics of my new xj. Found it with 63,000 miles on it and bought a RE 3.5 kit, BFG A/T 31x10.5x15 on stock ecco wheels, totally new brakes and lines on all the corners, RE adjustable track bar, RE adjustable upper and lower CA's. ZJ tie rod ends, RE steering stablilizer. NP242 transfer case and C8.25 rear end. My dad and i are taking it up to canada in july to go catch some wallys and lake trout for a week. All the work was completed my myself and my dad. It took about two weeks total but we took both axles out and stripped them down and painted. I'd say it was well worth the wait. Cant even count all the times i had to come on CF to get some great information. This place is great. Enjoy!

Welcome aboard, you have found a good and helpful group. Nice looking rig you've got there. I also have a 98, but mine is a Sport.

That's a sweet green XJ. Welcome to the club. Don't forget to post on the green Jeep thread somewhere around here.

I had a chili pepper red 98 w 137k up until about a week ago. Had to sell it in order to start a 03 TJ project w 23k miles. Jeeps are a ***** sometimes but the end result is always worth the hassle. I'll find that thread tomorrow and join. I doubt anyone else at drake pharmacy school will have a jeep like mine. Go bulldogs! (and hawkeyes!)

Additions to project: stainless Gibson cat back system, curt tubular class 3 hitch, Yakima spare tire mount for basket, wet okole front seat covers, alpine ida-x305sbt head unit, Boston acoustics components in front, BA coax in back, bypassed factory amp, alpine 4 channel 240 watt amp for speakers (they scream), JL w3v3 12" sub (sealed box) w alpine mono 450w amp.. I forgot to add that it has heated seats, integrated radar detector into ford f-250 rear view mirror, 10% tint on rear windows and remote starter.

Heading up to canada to fish for a week tomorrow. Leaving west des moines, IA. it's about 750 miles one way. Can't wait to get it off the pavement and into some jeep country. I'll post on how we did when I get back. Fish on!
