Hey guys I just recently purchased a 98 Sport Cherokee. Body is straight, frame is rust free, and engine pulls strong. However she does need some TLC though. Drums need to be replaced, A/C blows hot air, Oil Sensor needs to be replaced, Fuel pressure valve needs to be replaced, could use a tune up, and I'm definitley want to replace all fluids because I bought this off of some High School girl that probably didn't do any maintenance. My question is what is usually the first couple of things that you guys would do when purchasing a used cherokee? Change oil and transmission fluid, and what else?

Welcome to the forum.

I would suggest replacing the dizzy cap and rotor, wires and plugs. Air filter, belt, etc.

Oil pressure sensor is so easy to replace, five mins tops. It's right above the oil filter housing.

Have fun!
