Hello all, I'm new to the forum and the Jeep world in general. My son and I just picked up a 91 RWD Sport for him to learn to wrench on and eventually be his daily.
This forum has already been a great resource to us, thanks to all who contribute!
Picked her yesterday near Sherman, TX. Quick pressure wash the next morning before we return the trailer. We got halfway done and ran out of quarters. Doh! The grime and muck was stubborn. Carpets are terrible, so out comes the interior. Almost there. We made back almost 2 bucks in change. Wish we had that at the car wash. A couple of speed holes on the passenger side. Drivers side is pristine.
All in all no major surprises. The rust was known and fixing it will be a great learning experience for the boy. This is eventually going to be his daily, so he has great incentive to continue wrenching on it until it's "finished" (are old cars ever really finished?).
Again, thanks to all for this great resource, and I look forward contributing myself.
Might come in handy. Also there is a link there for build sheets but it says anything older then '98 won't work.
Try anyway. It is hit or miss but some guys have said they got lucky with the older XJ's.

Thanks for the tip on the build sheet. No luck under the carpet, but I'll check inside the door tomorrow. I need to lube the machinations anyway.
I also struck out on the link for online build sheets. No big deal, I don't think I'm going to learn a whole lot I don't already know. It's a really, really base model, basically no options.

This was posted on another forum where you can make a request for one.
I just came across it after seeing your thread. LOL.
