FREE Model 35 Rear End

I have a complete (drum to drum) model 35 rear end that I took out of a 91 Cherokee LTD with about 7,500 miles on the clock. It has 355 gears, but I don't remember if it has a limited slip diff. or open diff. It worked perfect when I took it out! (It was removed to upgrade to a Dana 44).

Good spare parts there, and It's free to anyone that wants to pick it up in Lomita CA.

Thanks for looking!

This is really a shame as there are a bunch of good usable parts on the rear end, like the housing, axles, brakes, Diff. carrier Assem, etc., but I'm tired of storing it so it's off to the scrap metal yard next run.

People just don't want a Dana 35, they're junk

Agreed, & this thread proves that point.

The only thing worth keeping is one or both shafts.

That's why I put the Dana 44 with a power-loc in mine, but some people still use them and I hate to throw away good usable parts. I figured someone might want some (FREE) spare parts for theirs.

In all honesty.. I would take it apart, sell parts on eBay. I'm sure someone would buy the carrier pretty quick

How much for just the gears?

Or gears with the LSD?

Thanks

Sorry I didn't see this sooner!!

I guess $50. would make it worth spending the time to take it apart.

Let me know!

I sure wish I could find someone that needs this one. I can't see scrapping parts that I know someone could get some use out of.

Best way to find someone that needs it is to give it to the scrap man. The next day you will get a PM from someone needing it.

If it wasn't a fortune to ship it I would take it

I have a 93 grand cherokee. Will it work for me? If you still have it, I bet I can use it. I just got a jeep with a shot as hell front diff and I have yet to check the back. But Im betting that one is shot too. Im in santa barbara but willing to drive out to get it. Need to go to la and look for my front end parts anyhow. Trying to save money and just get her on the road for now. Thanks

No. You have coil spring suspension & the XJ is leaf springs.
