Neither shafts have ever been used. What you seeing the outer shaft is a little surface rust from sitting. They have never even had a ujoint installed in them. Located in Corona, CA

this is a good deal, I have same and paid close to $1600 I think from quadratec and there site says a little over $1800. If I had the money I buy this.
Just wondering if never installed why the bearings pressed on already. Those bearings will be toast, cause they need to be pulled off to shim for proper fit.

Because it's probably used, but hey, it's cheap enough.
If you look real close, in the second & third pic, you can see what looks like marking from the bolts being installed on a ring gear.
In the first photo it has a mark on it (at the 5:30 position) like it was dropped or ??.
Also, looks like the top ear on the stub shaft is bent. Could be a illusion or made that way. Not sure. Shafts look like they were muddy not rusty.
The stuff does look used.
OP, sorry to bust on you, just pointing out what other people will see & you can be prepared to answer those concerns.
But still a REALLY good deal.

If I am the person selling it, I think I would know a little more about it than the information you guys are gathering from a few cell phone pictures.
I never once said there was never a ring gear installed on the axle did I? No, I did not. I said the locker has never been used. And whoever buys it, if they have any common sense, will realize that it has never touched gear oil nor has it ever even been locked up by shop air.
The bearings were pressed on, obviously since a ring gear was installed on to it, to set the gears up in my axle. Decided to go a different route and removed it from the housing and took the ring gear off and it was sold. The locker was never dropped, the mark you see was put there purposely to identify the correct pattern so that if it was put back into said axle that the ring gear would go back on the same exact way as the initial setup.
Also the shafts are unused as well. They have been sitting in a climate control storage unit where it can get moist in the winter. The inner shaft was wrapped prior to this unlike the outer shaft. And the ear is not bent since it has not been used, thats clearly an illusion from the picture. Like I stated before, these shafts have not even had a u-joint installed into them.
If the stuff was used I would be selling it for $600. What I want for it, $800, is a little over half the price of what this is brand new. Very reasonable price.
Once again, NOTHING HERE HAS BEEN USED BEFORE.

Just a quick question, you only have the one driver side shaft, no don't have the pass side?
I was also just trying to help you sell, I wasn't trying to bash you. I honestly didn't notice that ring gear was mounted to itn till the other guy mentioned it, that why I saud what I said.

Yes I only have the driver side shaft which is the short side, the pass. side shaft was used in a buddy's jeep for a trail repair and I got money for it instead of a replacement shaft. I had the other outer but I must have misplaced it when moving my stuff and I have not to been able to find it
