3 XJ's, one project $2500

Just putting this out there to see if anyone would be interested. Not parting anything out. Must take all 3 and I'll include every part associated aside from a few small things I need for the Jeep I will have left.pretty firm on the price. Purchase price on all 3 inch totals $2900. That's not including any parts or repairs I've done. This is going to be long so please bear with me. Also all my pics are on my previous phone which I've been using as a camera and and everything else it does except as a phone for the past 2 years but recently the touchscreen is not working so I can't get to my pics ATM.

First is the worst one. Totaled 1998. 5 speed, 30/8.25 combo. Doors are decent. The 2 drivers doors are starting to rust. Rear passenger door missing small glass. Passenger seat good just needs cleaning. Drivers seat was welded and then broke again. Cushion and cover ok. Clear quarter glass good. Rear seat bottom good but dirty. All interior panels good. Missing a part here or there. Interior color tan. Headliner and dome lights good. No fabric on liner. Odometer read around 227k if I remember correctly. Has 6 inch ruff country lift that was only a few months old when it was totaled. Lower control arm bracket on axle is bent. Steering and track bar are stock. I pulled a few wire harnesses and the water pump and alternator to use. Fenders, hood, radiator and liftgate are totaled. Most of the interior except the dash are removed and in boxes. Engine accessories are removed and boxed. Originally bought it for the suspension.

Next up the 1999. 220? Or something on the odo. Motor was installed before I got it with 98,000. They didn't keep record of the mileage put on after but by what the last title says for mileage and what it has now I assume it's a little over 100k. I did have the paperwork for the motor and install but can't locate it. I know a lot of people say this but this one is legit. 30 front, 35 rear. Abs was disabled when I got it. I've used the interior for another Jeep. Roof is rusty and most of the underside is crusty but not rotted. Broke off all of the rear bumper bracket bolts trying to remove. There is a crack in the frame where the gas fill hose passes through. Trans input seal shot. Was going to use all the body parts for the 98 I'm driving. Already swapped header and fenders and swapped out radiator. The one I put in has a tiny leak. Door panels are still on because the Jeep I used interior for has manual windows and locks. One rust hole in front passenger door. A few little rusty spots on liftgate and rockers are rusted good. I have nearly a full interior for it from the totaled 98. Weld a crack, swap or fix the trans and a new radiator and it's driveable.

Lastly a 1998 daily driver. 216k. 30/8.25. No carpet no headliner. Rockers cut out. Lower rear quarters cut but not quite folded. Wheel wells cut and kinda folded. Small crack in windshield top corner on passenger side. Water leaks on front floor both sides. Around 6 inch lift. Blocks and springs in front. Blocks and shackles in rear. Was planning on using springs from the totaled one. Needs ball joints. Tie rod ends getting loose. Replaced axle side upper control arm bushings. Have the rest of the bushings just not installed. Rough country adjustable track bar with heim. Rough country extended away bar links. Tubular fixed control arms. Unsure of brand. ZJ tie rod. Oil pressure sender harness shorted somewhere. Pan, filter adapter and valve cover a little leaky. Have the gaskets not installed. Newer O2, water pump and hoses, thermostat and housing, alternator, starter, battery and cables. Manifold cracked. Did plugs wires cap and rotor less than 2 years ago. Change oil timely with T5 and wix or NAPA filters. Clockspring was messing with TPS so horn and airbag fuses are removed. Dome light wiring shorted somewhere so that fuse is removed. Front doors were made removable. Passenger door hinge pin holes are worn. No rear defroster or wiper, wires are broken and haven't had time to fix. Heater core plugged so not much heat at all in the winter. Blows warm if it's above 45 out. Warm enough to melt ice from the windshield. Blower resistor shot so only high works. 33-12.5-15 wrangler MTR Kevlar that have seen better days. I do have a spare on a brand new 15x10 wheel. Tire is about 65% maybe. Wheels on the Jeep are 15x8. The Jeep was sprayed with some texture paint by previous owner poorly.

That's all that's coming to me right now. I will constantly update this as I think of stuff or to answer any questions. Pics are in my profile of the 98 and 99.

I will get some fresh pictures come daylight. All the right parts are there they just aren't on one vehicle. My location is 06018. North Canaan CT. On the Massachusetts border and only a few miles from NY state. About an hour from these cities. Albany NY, Poughkeepsie NY, Hartford CT, Springfield MA.

You really need to come take a look at them to get a better idea of what condition they are in. It would take tens of thousands of words to write every little detail here. They are no means perfect or even close. But for the price and if you're someone who has the time, tools and love of Cherokees then there's some great potential here. That's how I got in this situation. I'm only lacking the time which I thought I had. but between owning a house that constantly needs work and maintenance and making sure me my wife and our family have vehicles that will take us wherever whenever, that leaves little time larger projects of this sort. I don't have to sell but realize I'm better off. So I'm pretty firm on the price and I will not separate. And my wife's 01 Cherokee and the other 98 I have would benefit greatly from the sale of these 3.

Some other things to add. I somehow forgot to mention the 98 im daily driving has a misfire. Mostly cylinder one. Compression on all cylinders is great and cylinder one is only slightly lower. I'll have to review my old posts to find the exact readings. Anyway a leakdown test revealed that all cylinders held pressure except cylinder one. I'm assuming it's a valve issue. Never looked farther into it. I took some photos today. I'll post them a bit later before I pass out tonight.

Also the 99 has about a 2 inch lift and wheel wells are cut. Front springs are rusty's and has blocks in the rear. Also there's a hitch on it that's half removed.

Also I must say that I am not the one who did any of the hack job work on these. My goal has been to redo everything that has been poorly done. Cleanly and correctly. The 99 was built for mostly off-roading by one PO. Then the guy I got it from owned it a couple years, put the motor in it and drove it around in the swamp behind his property and collected firewood with it. He never even registered it. The 98 I'm driving was built with no intention of ever being driven on the street ever again and when the guys work truck died he traded the Jeep to the kid I got it from for a truck. The kid I got it from only drove it around his parents yard for a few months before selling it to me. Also never registered it. And the red 98 that's totaled was bought by a 21 year old kid that drank too much from an old lady who was the original owner. He then paid a shop to install a rough country lift and proceeded to drunkenly beat on it until a couple months later and he finally totaled it.

On with the photos. I can only fit one per reply. Not sure if it's because I'm on a phone or what. So it will be slow going.

Ha. There is no 10. Two of them were the same. Be sure to zoom in on the doors and you can see they have some dents but not bad. Any questions or parts/places you would like photos of just let me know.

Next will be the 99. Again I tried to photograph the worst stuff.
