Not much has remained since then, but the thread in the build section is still there to see what I started with. I've spent the last year tearing this thing down then building it back up. So what started as a leaky radiator and loose steering gear escalated into a massive project. Quickinfo: 2001 XJ, 194k miles, AW4, LP30, NP231 w/SYE, 4.56 gears, 35" KM2s,15 x 8 Cragar Soft 8s Price:$5999 obo Location: Macomb, MI So here's how it went down: Tore apart complete front end. Bought OE radiator and XJ steering gear Then the “while I'm in this deep why not” came into effect Then it escalated to buying Rubicon Express Long Arms Rubicon Express 4.5" Coils Rubicon Express brake lines Bilstein 5125’s 10” travel JKS Steering reinforce kit HD Frame stiffeners Urethane rear bumps Rebuilt calipers + pads Powerstop rotors External trans cooler Trans cooler hard lines Trans filter, gasket, and oil 140amp Grand Cherokee Alt New A/C pump and accumulator Overhead console Then before the madness started it already had the following: Serious UTK steering, also have the end to convert to OTK Double shear track bar, forgot what brand JKS Adjustable Coil Spacers HD ball joints New U-Joints Spectre cowl intake Bored throttle body 4 hole injectors 4ga battery wire Headlight harness + H4 headlights Pioneer stereo with 2 amps + sub Detours Tailbone tire carrier Aussie rear locker Shackle relocate box with 1” shackle Rough Country leafs w/urethane bushings, sorry didn’t change them out yet. RC sway bar discos Quadratec Rear Disc Brakes 1 ½” wheel spacers Forgot brand of front bumper, in build thread, but fabbed up big mounts Trailer hitch Bushwacker Flares There is more, but is easier to see it then describe it. I’m finishing squaring everything up right now, so it hasn’t even been out with all the new stuff yet. Yes, there is some rust, but no holes. I have a ton of build pics if you need to see something specific under the paint. |
That thing looks great.
